I bought the D4-DSCBL to connect to a D4-440 CPU. It had a facts engineering s2-15P in the slot 1 15pin connector. I'm having an issue since the laptops we have don't have a 9pin serial port. I am not sure the best way to get connected to this PLC. Can I use that facts engineering adapter with the RJ12 cable and connect that to the laptop? Anyone have an idea of the best way to connect to this? We usually use DL06's but found a hidden PLC recently.

Try a USB-RS232
How do you normally connect to the DL06s?

We use a EA-MG-PGM-CBL. Will that work in the facts engineering s2-15P?

I believe so but you may want to ask Tech Support directly. It does supply power to the CMore Micro so it is a question whether that power line will affect the 440.

It did work, I'm always a bit afraid of using the wrong cable. I saw a SLC500 get fried by a contractor we called in once. He was there a few days rebuilding it with no documentation. If I remember right he had to twist the wires for pins 1 and 6 together and not run them to the SLC500.
This PLC has some docs but we have never seen the program until now. 442 rungs of logic with no notes or tags.
