Hey we just upgraded to DirectSoft 6 and have had an issue setting up our comm-link through usb-rs232 connection. It will work if the link is set up before using the launcher but it will not let you set up a new link that isn't through ethernet or modem. If this issue was already resolved I do apologize for not finding it in the forums. Thanks for any and all help! -Nate

Pretty sure that is the way the new launcher works. BobO, Gregk or Franj1 may come along and correct me, but AFAIK the launcher enumerates the available devices during start up. If the device is not present before the launcher is started, the launcher will need to be closed and re-opened to find the COM Port.

Our manual came in yesterday after I posted and after some reading it does seem that for a Windows device comm link it needs to be present at start up.
Thanks for the help
