I need to get a program out of a DL06 for validation purposes. I have the cable that connects to Port 2. Can I communicate thru this port or does it have to be Port 1? I have tried auto communication. Thanks

Port 1 is the fixed settings programming port.

I believe Port 2 can be used for programming if the port settings are correct to match the programming computer. However, you need the programming software connected or the PLC program logic to change the port 2 settings.

If you have any communication instructions in the PLC that use Port 2, you will need to put the PLC in STOP mode in order to connect.
