Hello, I Have a D205 PLC, with a D2-250 CPU, and one day just stop working, and the run led start flashing, so I think it need a firmware update, I made it, but I can not get the communication with directsoft, and after a few tries, the cpu start flashing the run led again, so I thought the CPU was damaged, I buy a new CPU, and I can not communicate it with direct soft 5, no matter what I do, and again after a few tries to communicate, the new cpu start flashing the run led. I check the power supply, I check the comunication cable, and I dont know what is happening here. any one know what is going on here? thanks to any help.

Be aware that this may be a power issue that has nothing to do with the PLC. To test this theory, move the PLC into an area with known good power, update the firmware and see if the issue reappears after cycling power. If the problem still is present with known good power then try the following.
Take all of the modules out of the base, remove all cables except the ones for power and the one you are using for the firmware update and try updating the firmware.
After updating the firmware, power cycle the base with the modules and cables still removed. If the problem reoccurs, replace the base.
If it seems to be working after powering the unit u[p with only the CPU installed in the base, add the modules back into the base one at a time with the power off as you add the module. Turn the power on after each module is added to see if the problem reappears. If it reappears, then there is an issue with the module that was just added.

Hello, I try all these things, and I have no solutions, I can't communicate with direct soft, its like there is no CPU connected, any other idea? I also try using different computers, and I get the same result, with the new and with the old CPU; Also in the firmware update software, I can not get the actual firmware version even when I just do the update.
thanks
