I have a 4 output cpu & I added a 16 output module. How do I get Y001 to work on the 16 output module? I have Y005 operating in the software but Y001 on the 16 output module does not operate. what do I need to do? all my modules show in the i/o config.

In the Click software go to 'setup '. Choose 'system Configuration '. Add in your power supply, the CPU and the add-on module. Note the assignment of the outputs. There is no Y5.

no Y5 in the cpu, that is correct. my config shows all the modules.

so, which "Y " is input 1 on the 16 input module?

so, which "X " is output 1 on the 16 output module?

Did you do the configuration I detailed? Did you LOOK at the table?

    There is NO Y5 Anywhere.

The CPU has inputs X1 through X4. It has outputs Y1 through Y4

The add on module has only outputs starting at Y101.

    Please read carefully.

    Inputs are 'X ', outputs are 'Y '.

I changed it to Y101 but it still does not energize the relay, it does energize the relay in the software

I can't test this on my end. I have a Click but no add on module. Sorry.

Are you saying that the top light on the add on module does not light up? Or that something you attached to the terminal does not turn on?

no light on the module output indicator, the software shows the output working.

If you wish, go to where the Click project file is stored. Possibly 'my Documents ' - 'Automation Direct ' - 'Click '- 'Project '. Right click on it and choose 'send To Compressed Folder '. This will create a 'zip ' file with the same name.

Then start a post here. Scroll down to 'manage Attachments '. Hit the browse button to search through your own computer to find the zip file. Press 'Upload ' to send it to this site. The 'submit ' your post. The file will be attached and we can check it and maybe help you further.

If you would rather I think you can attach it to a Private message.
