Password confusion

Can anyone tell me how a D0-05DA set a password on its own? I was running a program on my test bench and stopped for lunch. I logged off and turned the PLC off. When I came back and powered the PLC up and tried to connect I got the PASSWORD message.

Just a wild guess - one member had an application using pointers. The points strayed into the system memory addresses. The parameters for COM1 were changed. Could it possibly be something like that?

No I have gone back over the program and have nothing that is even close to the system memory. COM 1 and 2 are at default. Must be one of those gee I don't know what. I loaded the program into another 05 and it is working fine on my test bench. Thanks for the input

I did this once when I was just starting to learn to use DirectSoft. I powered an 06 off while connected to it and when I tried to reconnect it was password protected. I never did figure out what happened.
