I am trying to link a DL260 using an ECOM100 card to an AB Drive. This drive has a 20 comm-m Modbus Adapter. When I purchased this material I assumed that if both pieces of equipment spoke Modbus TCP that I was OK. I am not so sure today. I have been trying for the past few days to get them to talk. My network is OK because I can talk to both cards using their respective setup tools and I can ping both of them also. I am not an expert but I think that the AB card does not respect the standard addressing. It would seem that registers start at 10001 and not 40001. I would of liked to send the adapter manual this this post but I cannot find how to do this. My question, has anybody out in the field ever have this type of experience and or have any hints as what I can do to make these to cards to talk to each other?

It should be possible to get these devices to talk. I 've not had a case yet, that we haven't been successful. Have you resolved this yet? Or does it still not yet work? If it doesn't, one thing that usually tells the tale is using a free Ethernet sniffer called Wireshark. With this tool, you can see the telegrams going back and forth and see exactly what each device is saying to the other.
