Audible relay sound when energized

Hello, I have used smart relays and decided to advance to plc's. I received a D05-05DR-D plc and starting to play with it and explore the hardware and software. With a smart relay I could hear the internal relays "click " when actuated. Should I also hear the plc internal relay "click " when the output is active and the outpput LED illuminate? Even when the relay terminals are open? Thanks...Jeff

Uhhh......yes. Jumped the gun and a little more time t-shooting would have helped. I failed to place the plc in run mode to execute the program. In program mode the inputs reacts, but the outputs does not. And so it begins, the long road to AD plc familiarization. Oh the humanity!

Uman - everyone who posts on these forums have had that "I didn't plug it in " moment. So all of us would have an "AKA " by their names. But, as embarrassing as something may seem, posting the experience may help someone else who is searching for an answer. Figuring the problem out and solving it shows you are at least a step above some who ask questions. (The "please do my homework for me " and the "I don't have time to read a manual, just show me how to do this. " types)
