I have a little question for you guys out there I have an old Texas Instruments PLC TI 330 that is currently running a sequential lubrication system in a steel mill. The customer is moving the mill to a new location and wants to be able to upgrade the PLC for a newer model as spares are none existent and they have no-one that can access and edit the PLC program. I can import the program into DS5 so I can read it, but all the I/O addressing is wrong as the TI PLC addresses are all different from Directsoft and as the last time I worked on this system was September 1995, I really cannot remember how the I/O addressing stacks. I plan to use either a DL06 or maybe a Click as the PLC functions are very basic and either of these will do, it is only a cost issue. The local Siemens office have offered to take the whole control of this system into the main PLC control system but they are talking telephone numbers, not real money and the customer does not want to pay (as usual). Anyone here have any idea where to find a manual for the TI 330?, or better yet, any idea how to convert this program into something usable without having to rewrite it the hard way? Thanks guys :)

The TI330 is the same as a D3-330 PLC that AutomationDirect sells, so parts are available. The manual can be found here .

ADC app guy is correct, but getting them to upgrade is a great idea.

But for the code conversion, no easy path is there.
