PLC DL450 to SQL using DDE SERVER

I would like to know if is possible comunicate between plc DL 450 and SQL using DDE SERVER. I did this comunications with excel

To move data from Excel to a SQL server, look at the Microsoft's app notes: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321686
The PLC is not really a factor.
If what you really want to do is get the PLC data into SQL and Excel is not really needed, then look at this software:
Jeez...I tried to get the URL work 20 different ways and couldn't get it to work.
Go to Automationdirect's website and look under software for the Dataworx software. It will log directly to SQL from the PLC.
