ibox\ pointer method

do you have to use the pointer method if you use a analog i box helper have a f0-4ad2da card with a dl-05.

    All the IBox does is generate the ladder logic to set up the pointer method, so I guess the answer is "yes ". The IBox does not do the old multi-plexing logic, if that is your question.

    ok i guess i didnt explain i am new at programing and am i trying to watch analog 4-20ma and take and input it so i can watch it on cmore then output it to run a drive on analog follow. I was asking do i need to use poniter method or can i just use the analog helper i box

    Yup, just use the IBox - it expands out to the pointer method logic based on the PLC/CPU and the slot number that you provide (the lone slot in the 05 is slot "1 ")
