I am using the F4-16PID in a project. I would like to know if/when I need to set bit 15 of the MODE WORD. The mode word table shows: 1= Set by user so PIDCOP will read fixed loop data. (((Which data does this include!?)))) 0= PIDCOP clears after fixed loop data is read. Your insight would de greatly appreciated!

See table on page 5.2 (32 of 41 in Acrobat viewer): http://www.facts-eng.com/manuals/f416pidm.pdf

If you change any parameter from decimal offset 6 (Sample Rate) to 25 (Extended Mode Word) you must turn on bit 15 of the Mode Word to tell the F4-16PID to read the new values. After the F4-16PID has read these parameters it will turn bit 15 off.

Thanks! I overlooked that in the table.
