I 've been using the DL06 at work and need to program at home on occasion. I have a DL05 and a 205 rack with a DL250-1 CPU left over that I can play with. Is there one that is the best stand in for the 06? Is there one I should not consider? Thanks, Brent

From an instruction set standpoint, the 250-1 is closer to the 06 than the 05 is (e.g. 05 does not support any REAL math instructions, but the 250-1 supports some, and the 06 supports all REAL math instructions).

However, from a physical I/O standpoint, the 05 can accept a single option module that the 06 can also support. The 205 option modules do not work with the 05 or 06. So if you were wanting to wire stuff up to option modules with your home system, you may want to go with the 05.

Thank you! I think I will play with the 205 some. At least until I can get work to spring for a 06 and a cmore micro for the homework. It's a bargin for them, I'm not on the clock at home!

    Regards,

Depending on the model of the DL05 it may have built in high speed counting capabilities similar to the '06.
