Had enough. It is a new year and I would rather spend my time help others than send email back to defend what I do. Let's all help someone this year! Bob

Have you tried the DS100 version, which is free? You are limited to 100 words of ladder logic, but with an 05, you do not have much I/O, so maybe it would fit???

Let us know if DS100 is viable for your solution.

I have already downloaded the 100 word version but I need more words. I use all available outputs. Due to the many possible sequences for my wheelchair lifts the logic is quite extensive. I have been writing ladder logic for 28 years and I have tried every trick I know but still need at lease 200 words.

Yup, that's believable. Just seeing if it could have been a simple fix.

If you can on company letterhead, write a simple letter explaining your needs, and I should be able to get you what you need:

After the correct person at AutomationDirect read my postings the situation has been corrected. I would like to commend all (many came directly to me via email) who made suggestions or offers to provide the software. You are the people who make the world a better place. You cannot image the pain, suffering, hardships and astigmatisms that the disabled community faces. Had I not had family members stricken I would not have imagined the battle they face for products and services. Once again, thank you for making a difference.

    Bob,

I see your website indicates that you offer Wheelchair lifts for the home; however I dont see your organization's name on the active Licensed Elevator Contractor's list.

    http://www.michigan.gov/documents/dleg_bccfs_elevlist_145804_7.pdf (last update Sept 22, 2006)

I'm sure your intentions are all well & good, however you still are required to comply with A18.1-2003 & Mich R-408.

    LFTD Bob,

I hope I'm wrong, but by the tone of your last response, one could come to the conclusion that you think that since you 're a charitable organization, the rules that the rest of us have to follow shouldn't apply to you.

To put an end the political/Union hype that usually comes when I request a donation I will say this. I get out of bed every morning hoping to make another person's day a little better. If I can do that, the world is a better place. I do not believe that anyone or any organization is or should be given any special rights when it comes to laws and statutes. I am not sure how you came to that conclusion from my message. Until you have been there you have no idea what a disabled person has to go through to get equipment or services. I never have and never will understand why so many people go on the attack when me and my family help all the people we can. This the last word from me on this forum. If you want to discuss further please send private email.

Best wishes to you and yours this coming year.

    Sincerely,

    Bob Hiller

I'm not sure how to respond to Bob's latest posts but in the following:

    1) I am not in the busniess of installing accessability equipment. We are licensed and qualifed to do so, however we do not seek out this type of work.

    2) It's absolutely amazing how much blood can be spilled from a child's body. After a few days the odor is horrendous; even after the body/(parts)has been removed.

The issue is of safety, not political/Union hype. I my years as an elevator contractor I have read many reports and have seen the tragic aftermath of more then a few very unfortunate incidents caused by improperly designed accessibility equipment installed by unqualified installers without proper knowledge of the applicable codes.

When I initially posted to this thread, I was not sure if Bob was working under a different name (in regards to licensing), or was unaware of the requiremnts. In the intrest of public welfare I thought it would be prudent to error on the side of caution.

Readers of this thread may judge the response to my post for yourself.

    Mike,

I'm glad there are people like you out there and I think that over the last several years reading your posts here and at PLCTalk and I can safely say I know your intentions were good intentions. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a wonderful new year.

    ----------

    Bob,

I 've sent you an email message that you can read and think about or delete and ignore; that choice is yours.

I'll only say this in the public forum...

From the tone of your messages I think you 've got a lot to learn about humility and frankly it surprises me that someone running a charitable organization would still need to learn how to be humble.
