I have set up a network with a dl06 and 3 gs3's, all about 2ft apart. I copied the program in the gs3 book and addressed the drives 1,2 &3. In my program I set the address as 1 and tried it on address 1, everything worked, my speeds changed as I modified the Vmemory location. Then I changed the address (only) on my mwx to 2. While the drive changed to "run " it ran at 0.00hz. I then changed the address to 3 and the same thing happened. I then changed cable locations and went through everything again. After playing around, I found that on drives 2 & 3, changing the multispeed 1 would change the speed that the drive ran. (remember I haven't made changes to my mwx block. Then I tried everything again, but leaving the mwx set to slave address of 1 and changing the addresses of the drives with the same result...........help what am I doing wrong???
