Analog Input , Analog Output & PID Controls

I have preparing and do an offline program for a system that a temperature and humidity sensor(0-10V) connected to F2-08AD-2 and 2 monotorised valve(on Air Handling Unit and Air Dehumidityfier Unit) to maintain a room temperature at 23C and humidity 50%rH. I totally don't know about PID Controls, so I need some refenrences/ details about it. This is the first project/system, therefore I really need someone that can help me to develop this system up. Thanks.

    The temperature should lend itself to PID nicely, but the humidity might be a bit of a problem.

    Read the PID section of your manual, and ask specific questions. The manual is available on the website.

    Thanks for you fast responce, What do you meant by temperature should lend it to PID nicely? You meant temperature will do without any configuration? or just with an easy configuration? by the way, I will looks into the manual now, can you provide me a link for the PID manual if possible. Thank you!

    What GoodGuy needs is this PowerPoint on the basics of using PID. It should help in getting started. Also he needs Chapter 8 of the D2-USER-M.

    Thanks to you all for the replies, I will try it out as I really a dumb for PID controls.

    What if the PLC already have 2 points analog output(F2-02DA-2) and there are configured working PID controls and I would like to replace it to F2-08DA-2 directly, is there any changes to the PLC program or PID configuration or just replace it and that previous 2 points(+ the rest of the channels?) will be run without any errors? I'm confusing about this. However, the PID control is a setting for all the channels the PLC have or I need to configure them individually? I heard there is an auto tunning function for PID controls, what is that and how can I do it? I'm reading the links that Tech Guy sent to me, it's really usefull for me. Thanks a lot.

    What I meant is temperature is a fairly simple application, and lends itself nicely to be solved by a configured PID algorithm.

    Humidity can be a different animal, as it's not nearly as linear or straight forward as temperature.

    Either way, RTFM & UTFM.

    (Read The Friendly Manual & Understand The Friendly Manual). Doing so will go a long ways towards configuring the PID loops.

    RTFM & UTFM??? What I get from Tech Guy's links are very usefull for me. Hope that you guys can explain more for me about PID controls. Thank you. I would have problem regarding this soon, the system is going to test next 2 days, but Im still not really sure my program can run properly or not. Works in progress.
