I'm trying to get my C-more touchscreen to communicate with my DirectLogic DL06 PLC, but I keep getting the same error - PLC Communication Timeout. I 've looked several places for an explanation and possible suggestions on what the problem could be and how to fix it, but with little luck. I'm not clear if it means that there is no communication at all, or if there is some other underlying problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated because this is new to me.

It means that it sent a request to the PLC, but did not get a response within the timeout period. Is the C-More connected to the PLC via serial or Ethernet?

Serial.

Make sure your baud and parity settings match between the PLC and the touch panel. Also make sure that the PLC and touchpanel are also grounded at the same point. If you made the cable yourself, double check it to insure that the pinouts match.

Thanks for the help, the parity and baud rate were the problem.
