ECOM100 and Dataradio

trying to use a DLO6, ECOM100 and DataRadio's wireless IP/Integra. I have the units working in "router " mode but the much simpler (and required) mode that I need is Bridge. I can get two PC's to ping accross the bridge but when I try PC to DL06, the replied ping from the ECOM100 comes back but times out due to an error in the reply. There are very few parameter changes that we can make to the radios. Has anyone had an experience similar to this? thanks

I have seen this before, but not with the particular equipment you are using. Currently every time I have run into this issue it ends up being fixed by a setting on the wireless device. So far each case I have seen is using different wireless devices, so I do not have a good feel as to what needs to change. All attempts in our lab to duplicate this problem have failed. We simply cannot make it happen.
Since we cannot duplicate the "problem " (whether it is ours or the wireless device's configuration) it is very difficult to "fix. " We have thought about having the ECOM100 send out periodic gratuitous ARP requests to see if doing so might "teach " devices like your wireless how to contact it. This ARP request would simply be a telegram on the wire that "asks "... "Who has IP Address? Tell IP Address. " Where "IP Address " would be the ECOM100's own IP Address. So he is kinda like asking a rhetorical question that other devices on the network "hear. " All devices that hear that might "learn " where the ECOM100 is and how to contact it.
If we decided to do this and produce a beta firmware for the ECOM100, would you be willing to give it a try as a beta site? (You can always revert back to your regular firmware).

It has been a long time coming...
After much troubleshooting, we were finally able to duplicate these types of very rare and mysterious errors and discovered some definite bugs in the ECOM100 / EBC100 firmware.
We believe these mysterious problems are fixed in the latest firmware. Firmware is available for download via NetEdit Live Update:
