I bought two Ethernet Modules for a DL405 system. The CPU are D4-450DC-1 and the bases are D4-08B-1. My problem is that i am using the NetEdit3 software to try to setup the modules, and i couldn't do it. The software is not even "seeing " the modules. Also, when from the DirectSoft i read the I/O configuration, the system is seeing the module as a D4-DCM, instead of H4-ECOM.

First we need a little more info. How are you connected to it. You should be running a line direct fron your computer through a crosover cable to the h4-ecom, or from your eithernet port across the net work to the h4-ecom. Also, how is the d4-450 set up?

The 450 should see the ECOM as a DCM, that's normal.

If netedit can't see the cards, then you either have a cabling or setup problem in your PCs NIC. Make sure you have both the IPX/SPX and TCP/IP protocols bound to your hard copper NIC and that you have disabled any other NICs/wireless/firewire/VPN/dial-up adapters until you get it to work.
