I have an application and I'm having a hard time figure out how to get this stepper motor turning. This is the first time I have ever done any type of stepper application. I'm using a 260CPU of course the H2-CTRIO in slot 3. No analog just 1 input card D2-16ND2 slot 1 and 1 output card F2-08TRS and a 6 " EZ-S6C-K screen. Question, does anyone have a simple program that will show me how to get this working? My motor is a 72° (500 steps) for 360°. I need a simple program that will do the following via the Ez-touch. 1, 1 button to start the motor. Once the motor reaches its count (0-600 steps Max) it will stop and wait for the operator to press the start button again. 2.3 seperate Thumbwheel controls on 1 screen to control the following: * Dwell (Delay starting the motor turning in .0 seconds) .9 seconds would be max time allowed. * Total steps (0 to 600) * speed (0- 100%) Program will perform the following. Operator will place a part on the machine. Then press a start button on the screen. Once the button is pressed, the plc will start the dwell time for the motor. Once the dwell time is completed it will trigger the output to step the stepper motor the enter amount of steps which are entered into the thumbwheel. The speed is calcuated by the value entered in the 3rd thumbwheel 0-100%. Once the motor has reached the above counts it will stop and wait for the operator to press the start button again and the cycle will start over again from the top.
