Is there any way to setup port 2 (DL250-1 or DL260) via ladder logic? For design/testing using DirectSoft is no problem, but as a manufacturing OEM it'd be nice to let the assembly and warehouse guys continue loading software without haveing to teach them DirectSoft. I need to be able to set the port to non-sequence 8/9600/1/N. Thanks

Great link Tim! I didn't know it was actually 'written down ' somewhere. I always just set the port thru DirectSOFT, then look for the change at the V-memory location to find the correct value for those settings.
Thanks!

That's what I'm looking for, but I 've got one question. How do I set it to "Print Only "? I don't see anything about doing that.
Thanks!

The "Print Only " check is not an actual configuration parameter. What it does is (in the 250) is force the communications mode to "free format " (6B hex), XON/XOFF to DISABLED, and RTSAlwaysON to FALSE. You actually configure all of these parameters yourself via ladder logic. Note that 260 and 250-1 may be different (each PLC Setup Secondary Comm Port is different). The point being, if you follow the instructions given, that's all you need to do.

The document I'm looking at only has info for the 450, 350, and 250. Is there any infor on how to do this via the ladder on a 260?

Treat the DL260 and DL06 as a DL250. It should work fine.
