I am trying to put voltages on some channels of F4-16DA2 and F4-04DA2 modules which are connected to DL450 via a ECOM and ERM. I can measure the voltages correctly with the multimeter after I finished the putting. But after about 10 minutes when I measured again I got ZERO, enven though at that time I can check and know the data in the corresponding registers are still ok. There is NO exception for this "data getting lost " no matter what program I am using to write data to the channel, Dsdata through EXCEL sheet, LabVIEW, Ladder Program..., and this ONLY happens while communicating through ERM. I called technical support of automationdirect.com a couple of times, but no one knows the reason why. So I think if anyone here met the similar problem before can share your experience with me? Thank you.

Do you only have output cards on your remote base? I think that if you have this situation you have to increase the "pet frequency " to the slave. If I remember correctly, if the slave receives no polls for a certain time, it kills it's outputs because it assumes the comm link is broken. If you have only output modules, then the ERM is probably not polling the slave unless the value in the master changes for the outputs.
Maybe you should describe your system a little more in depth.

Actually I have both input and output modules in the base. And I remember I set the "pet frquency " to 5ms, is it enough?

Yea, that should be fine.
How do you get these modules to start outputting voltage again?

In fact I noticed I could not make them outputing the same voltages again after the date got lost fromthe multimeter. What I could do is to change the voltages and write again, then I could have those on the multimeter for another a couple of minutes.
PS: Just now I went to the ERM Workbench to disable the watchdog to see if the problem could go away.

Do you get any errors on the EBC?
Are you still able to read inputs from the EBC base?

Run ERM Workbench and see if there are any errors. The latest version (Rel 1.1) supports better error reporting. It is available for free from Host Engineering's website at http://www.hosteng.com/HW-Products/ERM/ERM_Workbench_Rel11.Zip .
Do File->Read From ERM to connect to your existing ERM module. If any slaves are having a problem, the slave number will be in yellow or red. To see the detailed error list, click on the slave number that is in error, then click on the button Slave X's Error List. This will show you that slave's Extended Errors dialog. To decode the error codes, click on the Error List button at the bottom of the Slave Extended Errors dialog box.
Set your pet frequency to half your watchdog timeout (default wd is 250, so set your pet to be 125).
You could have something wrong with your configuration. Please e-mail your erm configuration file to support@hosteng.com, maybe we can figure it out. To create this file, connect to the ERM as above, then do File->Save As, then ZIP up the file and send it to support@hosteng.com.
