Trying to upgrade the firmware in my D4-450. The main CPU firmware upgrade was easy, but for the secondary CPU, there is an option of "Product number 004 " or "Product number 005 ". How would you be able to determine what's my PLC "Product number " ?

You should have a pdf file in the zip that you downloaded which is a product advisory. Below is what it says inside but you should check it out as it also has a picture showing the date code.

Determining Which Firmware Set to Use

The D4"450 CPU has two processors. The D4"450 SH (RISC) processor handles program

allocation and the D4"450 H8 (CISC) processor controls the I/O. When updating the

D4"450, both the RISC and CISC firmware will udpate. The D4"450 date code will determine

which of the following firmware version sets to use to update the D4"450.

    "If the D4"450 date code is prior to 0050 (6**0, 7**0, 8**0, 9**0, 0010, 0020, 0030, 0040),

    use the following firmware set:

    CPU: D4"450 H8 (CISC)

    sub"CPU: D4"450 SH (RISC): version V1.***

    "If the D4"450 date code is 0050 or later (0050, 0060, 0070...),

    use the following firmware set:

    CPU: D4"450 H8 (CISC)

    sub"CPU: D4"450 SH (RISC): version V2.***
