I have an simple application where I need 2 independant pulse train outputs. I'm just controlling velocity (in one direction only) of 2 stepper drives, therefore I only need 1 step output per drive. Because I need 2 separate pulse trains, I plan to use the CTRIO module in a 205 system, but thought maybe I could use a DL06 instead... Since there's 2 pulse outputs (CW/CCW, or STEP/DIR), is there any way I can use them simultaneously? IOW, output a CW pulse at one frequency, and a CCW pulse at a different frequency, AT THE SAME TIME? -Eric

Nope. That won't work. If you use CW/CCW, they work in a lead/lag fashion and they both pulse at the same frequency.

I figured it wasn't do-able, but thought I'd ask anyway... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/rolleyes.gif
I realized that I'll have 2 spare analog output channels, so I'll probably use those rather than the pulse outputs... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/biggrin.gif
Thanks,
