Go to the Ethernet Remote Master (ERM) page on Host Engineering's Website and look for "ERMWorkbench.Zip September 2002, Version 1.1 (2.1Mb) " Updates from Rel 1.0 include: 1. Fixed problem in Rel 1 ERMwb when saving configurations to DISK that contained I/O padding for possible I/O expansion. This caused a necessary change in the .ERM data file format. This Rel 1.1 software can read Rel 1 and Rel 1.1 files, but the old version, Rel 1, cannot read the new file format of Rel 1.1. Rel 1 .ERM files are valid as long as the configuration does not contain any I/O configuration pad bytes. If they do contain pad values, they should be deleted and reconfigured using Rel 1.1. We apologize if this has caused any problems. 2. Added extended slave error diagnostic capabilities, along with a dialog box that shows a list of possible error codes. This information was only available via ladder logic programming, but is now available via the ERM Workbench utility. 3. Added feature to Clear the ERM configuration, via the toolbar or File- >Clear ERM menu item. 4. Added 260 memory map support. 5. Added smart refresh of slave’s base definition within ERM workbench: when you add the slave to the ERM’s slave list, when you return from NetEdit (possible 405 analog configuration), and after you upgrade firmware. This is helpful if you are swapping I/O modules in your slaves while you are configuring your ERM. 6. Disables any Ethernet protocols that are not available (UDP/IP or IPX) on your PC. Note that the ERM and slaves can utilize either protocol regardless of what protocols are available on your PC. This only affects how the ERM Workbench software communicates with ERMs and Slaves. 7. Added feature to change the PLC Scan Timeout for ERM (see , button, “PLC Scan Timeout group, and also the View- >Options… “ERM Defaults group, PLC Scan Timeout (factory default is 100ms). If a PLC ever does have a long PLC scan time (anything around 100ms), this will be beneficial. This is a timeout setting and does not need to be tweaked, just leave it at 100ms unless above situation is true. If the PLC scan time is greater than 50-99ms, make it 2x the maximum PLC scan time. 8. Changed the ERM Workbench Toolbar. It includes the new Clear ERM and Error List buttons, and eliminates the copy/cut/paste buttons which were unused.
