I have a machine that is connected to the computer running Win XP through a F2-unicon. Distance is about 250 ' max. The transmit side shows power LED ON, the TX & RX LEDs flicker. In the past, both would flash on & off continuously. The machine side of the cable was disconnected and rerouted while the transmit end was still active. I'm sure it's possible the transmit side is damaged now. Or the cable is bad. Or??? Couple questions: How do I test the output of the tansmit side? Is the transmit and receive cards typical the same? Both F2-UNICON? I understand the newer card is an FA-ISOCON. Do I need 2 to replace the present cards? Thanks for your help! Tim

Problem resolved. Customer had a spare F2 available. Swapped it out on computer end. Everything is working. Conclusion: F2 at computer end was probably bad.
