Senario: We use the 205 PLC rack with a 260 CPU and a C-More 17 " screen and ethernet it the PLC. From the PC rack we use a H2-Ecom card to run a Redlion Crimison heat controller rack. The ethernet hub we used to tie everything together is made by Phoenix Contact. Problem: We normally programed the C-more with the USB cable, BUT decided to grab the ethernet hub and tie all three units to it and use an ethernet cable to program ALL three units with the laptop. The 260 CPU and Redlion program fast as lightening BUT the C-More screen takes almost 3 minutes to pop up when we hit the transfer button to upload any screen changes. Compared to the USB cable the ethernet option when trying to program the C-more is like waiting on paint to dry. Any ideas on what we have wrong here??

I have the same issue. I think it is the notebook. I got use to it. I hit the button and it takes a looong time before the window pops up. Never could figure out why that happens with the C-More. I had to get a new notebook (not because of C-More),and it worked just fine. After a few weeks it went to being slow again. I am thinking it has to do with the notebook.

Well it might be. If I delete the IP address for the C-more and go back to the USB programming cable it works as fast as it ever did.
I was hopeing someone else had seen this problem and had a fix for it.
Thanks for your time.

For what it's worth, I was experiencing long delays and communication failures trying to update a C-More program over ethernet. I had several trends on the HMI saving the info on a thumbdrive. When using FTP to read the files from the thumbdrive, I would notice some weird file names. One day I decided to replace the thumbdrive, and somehow the communication issues were resolved at the same time. I don't know how the 2 processes are connected, but it worked.
