Does anyone know when/if the P3000 will have Profibus capability? Preferably Profibus master. A better question might be , does anyone know when the P3000 will have any of the common open source deterministic protocols? Over ethernet.

To answer my own question, A-D has no plans to offer any other protocols on the P3000 other than Modbus and maybe BacNet. Quite the shame. The P3000 is a very good starting point for a very solid platform. But, if it can't interface with the multitude of widely used protocols....

I'm curious where you got that from. As far as I am aware, no one has informed me that we absolutely won't offer any other communications options.
The ADC policy is if we aren't about to release it, we don't talk about it. So even if we were to offer more options, we can't talk about what they might be until they are ready for release.
