I have an upcoming project with up to 40 PLCs distributed throughout a large building and an advanced SCADA system on top. I want the SCADA system to monitor each PLC for availability and issue an alarm if any one fails. All the PLCs will be equipped with an ECOM module. Do the ECOMs support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol)? My SCADA does. Any other suggestions on how to monitor the controllers in a clean fashion?

ECOM/ECOM100s do not support SNMP. Supported protocols are listed here:
