We have a site with three D2-250 PLC's and a single telephone line. The PLC's are not networked. Does anyone know of a way to connect to these units indiviidually over a single phone line? Our telephone people have recommended a telephone switching devise that would require that a seperate extension be dialed to select the PLC to connect to. Can the modem link in DirectSoft be configure to dial an extension?

The extension is just another set of numbers to dial. You should be able to add these after the main phone number. The comma character ", " in the dial string represents a 2 second delay. So test it yourself by manually dialing and determine the required delays. Then edit your DirectSoft links for each PLC to have the specific extensions. It should work as long as nothing changes in they system which would effect these "dumb " delays.
