I have a DP-25 Male to RJ-45 Male serial cable. It's a straight through cable. I would like to change the RJ-45M end to DP-9F (so I can connect it to comm1 on the laptop). Where can I find an adapter to buy(RJ45 serial to DP-9)? Thanks

tektips2007, It sounds like you may have to make your own custom adapter box. Keep your cable as is, and make an adapter box with an RJ45 jack and D-sub connector. Look at L-com. www.L-com.com

For easy setup and testing, try the AutomationDirect interface modules, then solder the connectors (soldering those little solder-cup pins is a hassle. Hope this helps.
