COM PORT HELP!!

hello, iam new to these PLCS, My question was is there anyway to sent the port 2 back to the default.. my problem is at first i could connect with no problems, i went to plc mode and changed acouple things. trying to make the plc work for modbus. well for some reason i changed the address to 5 i belive but not sure. now i get the can not connect to plc. I have tried a lot the connection says disabled in yellow.. anyone help??? its a DL06

    The easy way would be to get a communication cable for port 1. This port is always fixed at 9600 baud and odd parity.

    ok i tryed to connect to com port 1 with the phone line. i connected one side to my laptop and the other to port 1 when i connect it dials my number. should it be dialing a different number. i still can not connect with the erreor trying to connect to unlocked device.also if by chance i did change the address which i dont think i did. Woudl i still be able to connect to comport 1 with address 1?

    Port 1 of the PLC is NOT for a modem connection. It is a serial port. Connecting this port to your modem will not work. You need to purchase the D2-DSCBL cable from Automationdirect to connect from the 9 pin serial port of your laptop to the RJ12 port of the PLC.

    It is possible that you have damaged the port of the PLC with this connection.

    Or make your own cable by following the wiring diagram in the manual.
