i know almost nothing about ecoms but i have amachine that i am trying to trouble shoot that uses ecom to talk to three touch screens. they ctc parker screens and i need to know can i find the ip address of the screen and plc, and how do i "ping " them.

Go to HOST Engineering and download the NetEdit 3 utility. This will allow you to view the ECOMs, change the addressing and much more.
