TSP network runs underground between buildings on a campus. Old network. Looking for an Isolation/protection device to mount at each portion of the trunk cable as it exits the ground to protect hardware from lightning surges. Existing devices are obsolete. Any ideas? Thank.

We 've used Red Lion optically isolated serial converters successfully. B & B and Phoenix Contact and Black Box and AutomationDirect.com all have optically isolated devices.

    Thanks Tom.

I found the B&B devices and they meet my needs very well.

    Appreciate the feedback.

You mentioned that AD has a device too. I saw some isolators (0-5V, 0-10V) but they seem cumbersome. I'll look over the other devices you mentioned. Always good to have backups.
