Most economical and straightforward HMI for P1AM-100?
Hi guys, I need a basic human-machine-interface (HMI) consisting of a keypad and LCD to use with the P1AM-100 CPU. Can anyone make any recommendations as to what the most basic and economical product would be to use here?
Do you have any additional requirements? E.g. UL rated, screen size, color, housed, etc? Is your P1AM system connected to any sort of network?
There are no strict requirements relating to UL rating, screen size, colour or housing. The P1AM will not be connected to any network.
i haven't use one with a P1AM yet but i do like the nextion for personal use.

a 3" screen would be fine. Do all of those readily connect to a P1AM? Or do they require a workaround to make the serial connection?
i am almost positive they will require an RS232 shield and to write to it via modbus RTU

I brought my Nextion NX3224T028 from home to work to see if i can get it to work with a P1AM. If i can get time to get it working would you like a short write up of what needed to be done?
the Nextion NX3224T028 is a 2.8" resistive touch screen with a 320 X 240 resolution. The display has a GUI to program and its own built in processor so there is no need for the P1AM to draw the images on the screen so it can concentrate on the actual control.

I am using a nextion 7” model nx8048k070. Connects to the boil module 13 and 14. Very happy with it.
Looks like spell correct changed my response. Connects to P1AM-GPIO module on pins 13 and 14.
