Whenever I attempt to configure a Solo controller with the software, the PID parameters always default to the original settings. I change the settings and save as a par file. When I recall the file the download box appears and the PID parameters are back to the factory defaults. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?

    Hi Dan,

We have tested the software, but we did not see any problem. Here is what we have done.

    1. Start up the configuration software and check the Comport Setting to match the setup in the SOLO controller.

    2. Open the configuration window. Select the Address of the SOLO controller and click the Connect button to connect the configuration software to the SOLO controller. We can see the graphic of the SOLO controller if the software is connected successfully.

    3. Check the paramter 'P3-12 On-line Configuration ' in the Controller Setup parameter group is set to 'Enable '. If not, set the paramter to 'Enable ' now. This allows us to change the parameters in the SOLO controller from the configuration software.

    4. Change a parameter and see if the new parameter is accepted. This operation directly updates the parameter in the SOLO controller. If the value we just entered was overwritten by the previous value, it means the SOLO controller rejected the new setup value. This happens when we enter an invalid value.

    5. Click the 'save to File ' button and save the configuration file to the disc.

    6. Change a parameter again, but remember the previous setup value.

    7. Click the 'Open File ' button. Select the configuration file we just saved before and select 'Write to the controller '.

    8. Check the if the parameter we just changed in step 6 goes back to the previous setup value. If so, it means the saved configuration file was transfered to the SOLO controller successfully. If not, check the date and time of the saved configuration file. Sometime we save a file in a wrong directory and open a different file.

Thank you for using our products!
