One of my Durapulse GS3-41PO drives went down with a CPU ERROR 3. Tech support deemed it to be a drive failure and said to replace. I backed up the drive settings to the keypad, R &R the drive, then tried to upload config settings from the keypad to the new drive. Tried several times to locate the COPY KEYPAD group but it did not show up on the new drive. Went back to the original drive and redid the COPY KEYPAD FUNCTION to both the new and old keypads. Checked them out and both showed the new COPY KEYPAD GROUP. Still no show on the new drive. Did this several times then out of the blue the new drive shows the COPY KEYPAD group. I go through the commands, try to transfer from keyboard to drive and get a RATING MISMATCH message. The manual says this is because the program does not match the drive being used. They are both GS3-41PO drives. I'm stumped at this point. The only issue I can think of is that the old drive is firmware 1.02 and the new drive is version 1.06. Firmware instruction say not to attempt to upgrade from V1.02. Any help on the issue would be greatly appreciated. FYI I am not a programmer, just a mechanic trying to get our business running again. Thanks!

The firmware difference could very well be the reason you cannot use the copy feature, I am new to Durapulse drives but I have run into this exact problem using ABB drives in the past.
If the drive is set up for simple operation on, off and changing frequency from the keypad, there are not a lot of parameters that need to be entered to get it back up and running.
There is a Quickstart guide on page 3-6 of the Durapulse manual. (Although it is possible that you may need more parameters for your application than are listed in the Quickstart even if you do control everything from the keypad)
If you think the drive is set up a little more complex and you cannot copy from the keypad and are not sure how to program the new drive parameters, you could always power up your old drive, set it next to the new drive and just walk through the parameters one by one and enter them manually. (This would take a little time to go through them all but would not be very hard to do)
This would be your best bet if you are unsure of what parameters need to be entered for you application. (Other than calling in a tech that is):)
It sounds like you can still see and scroll through the parameters of the old drive, since you say you can use the copy function still.
If you have a lot of these drives you may want to download the GSoft software and order a programming cable so you can back up all your drives to a PC.
If you can explain how the drive is operated and post a picture of the wiring on the terminals of the drive someone here could better determine if you need a simple or more complex set of parameters programmed into the drive.

Thank you Bering. One thing I learned was that when powered off the COPY KEYPAD function reverts back to 0 (or off). The programming that was transferred to the keypad is still there, but won't show unless re-enabling COPY KEYPAD to 1 (or on). Once I figured that out I had no problem getting to the WRITE TO DRIVE function. Still wouldn't let me get past RATING MISMATCH. Just to rule out anything else, I switched out the new drive for an older one from machine B that was working fine. I was able to successfully transfer the settings to this drive and got machine A running again. Only problem is that still leaves one machine down.
I will follow your advise and manually transfer the settings one by one. Thanks for your response.
