Here me out: We have a motor that works in tandem with another motor. They spin in opposite directions. One motor has an encoder that sends feedback to the VFD. Our engineer is unavailable right now, so they are asking me if we can put a back up encoder on the other motor in case the primary encoder fails. If I swap A+ with A- and B+ with B- would that send the proper signal to the VFD? I already asked about putting the second encoder on the other motor upside down, and that won't work. There's not enough room to get to screws for the mounting bracket.
