Im working to make my panel UL compliant before I actually go for it. My question is for branch circuits that are running small 1/12th and 1/6th hp circulators and for other powered devices. (nothing I normally run is high amperage) My main in feed into the panel is 30 amps from there I break out and go through the individual relays, after each relay i want to go through a 1 or 2 amp circuit breaker. then out through a tipple level TB (10 amp rating). I 've been looking at motor starts but they are $$ when you need a lot of them. Im trying to do this as safely and as cost effectively as I can. However, on the description of Motor Starters it says "For UL 508 Type E Listing " does this mean that I HAVE to run Motor starter protectors or will circuit breakers do the job? On a side note if they would make a device that is a contractor, MCP and trip alarm all in once device.... it would be awesome! Thanks all

I believe wire protection and thermal O/Lis sufficient...you don't need to consider MMS combos with that meager of a motor control. A motor integrated thermal O/L would be cheapest i think.:eek:
