Using Gsoft, I am communicating with a GS2 VFD with my Dell Laptop on COM1 - everything is great. I bought my customer a new Dell Desktop to run this machine because he can't have my laptop. This desktop has a bunch more Com ports than my laptop especially after I added a PCI card with two serial ports to it. They got assigned COM 5 & 6 (I think). The software doesn't seem to want to talk to anything above COM 1 or 2. It says it will go to 3 or 4 but doesn't seem to want to... What can I do? I even tried a USB to Serial adapter and plugged it into every port there is - just won't do it.
