OK, now a question from me... On a GS1 drive, is there any way to limit the maximum motor speed when controlled by the keypad potentiometer?... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/confused.gif Let's say I want 0% on the pot to be 0Hz, and 100% on the pot to be 30Hz. Can I do this, or do I HAVE to use an external pot and scale accordingly?... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/mad.gif The manual says that parameters 4.01 to 4.04 are only used when an external analog signal is used... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/frown.gif Thanks, -Eric

1.) To INCREASE the max speed only 0-04 in rpm.
2.) To INCREASE and DECREASE the speed range E.G. 20 - 50 hz or 0 - 30 hz. You would use 6-15 and 6-16 for limiting the bounds of the drive.

Thanks for the reply Carl...
I found (and am using) those "upper/lower bound " settings. Better than nothing, but I'm not exactly "happy " with the results... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/frown.gif
All these setting do is "wipe out " sections of the pot. As I said, better than nothing, but it would have been nicer if the pot was scaleable. One thing I REALLY don't like is the fact that even with the lower bound set ABOVE 0Hz, you can still get 0Hz output if you turn the pot fully CCW. This is NOT good!... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/mad.gif
Beyond than, I really can't complain. And for the price, I can live with these minor quirks... http://forum1.automationdirect.com/board/cool.gif
