Old school electrician, kind of out of my league here. I'm working with a hobbyist trying to read distance with an ultrasonic detector purchased from Automation Direct. It is the UK1A-E2 with a 4-20 ma output. We are using an analog expansion module from a Allen-Bradley micrologix 1200. It supports current and voltage in and out. I have not found any documentation that clearly indicates the connections to the AB 1200 for any sensor, or I don't understand what I 've seen. Any help out there? Thanks! Terminal Block Layout V out 1 V out 0 IN 1 + IN 0 + I out 1 I out 0 IN 1 - IN 0 - COM COM Commons connected internally

Connect 24v+ to sensor pin 1 (brown)

24v- to sensor pin 3 (blue) and to module IN 1-

sensor pin 4 (black) to module IN 1+

This should work if it is a 4-20mA sensor. You didn't mention the model# of you expansion module, it might need to be externally powered with 24v as well

Edit: seems like you don't need external power. The example above is for analog input 1, you could wire it to analog input 0 instead

Here is the link for the user manual http://ab.rockwellautomation.com/Programmable-Controllers/MicroLogix-1200#documentation
