High Speed Counter

Is there a way to assign the same high speed input to two different counters? I would like to use the same inputs for different scenarios, like position and velocity. I was hoping to do this using enable bits for each counter to be enabled at different times. It looks like the software won't allow the same input to be used in an up/down counter and an interval measurement in the same program. Thanks for any input.

no. A high speed counter is tied to the input., you can’t have two counters on the same port.

You can have the same signal split to two different inputs, and then the same signal can be processed by two diffenently set counters.

Or, you can copy the current count to two different registers and go from there...

You could also wire the high speed counter input to another input and use it as well. I have done this with the High Speed Count Mode and Frequency Mode of the high speed counter.
