Just wondering for those of you using the Click PLC's how the reliability is. It seems to be documented that there is an issue with communication to a computer when monitoring the program but I have not found anything related to the PLC's being good or bad performers. I can probably live with out the real time monitoring until they get that fixed but I can not tolerate the PLC's not performing solidly. So far, no issues but again, I just wanted to get feedback from others.

I 've got about 25 in the field now and have had 0 issues with reliability. It's a pretty solid unit.

Is it possible for you to contact me at splats62@hotmail.com . I am in Gates and see that you are in Hilton. I would like to talk to you about the Clicks a little more. I have tried sending you a private message with my contact info but I can't seem to do it. I always get redirected to a page that says the page I want can't be found.

Great Unit, Communication crashes may be preventable.
I have used over 50 of these PLCs in various configurations and have never had any problem with their operation.
I too had problems with the communication to the laptop crashing while scrolling with the status monitor on. I now use the zoom feature in the Click software to shrink the display so I can see the full width of the ladder from rail to rail. I haven't had any crashes since I started doing this.

We have a machine at a pharmaceutical company that's been in 24/6 service for two years now with no issues. Have another machine that is run seasonally (6-mos on/6-mos off) and had no issues with it. We have been satisfied with the ruggedness of the Click.

I have had great success with the units. I have several in severe heat and vibration conditions, and have not had a single failure. I even have one (with a C-More touch panel) in a funeral home, operating the audio matrix for the entire building. They love it because everything on the screen is self explanatory. They can access the system from any computer or their phones to make changes. The only thing I couldn't talk them into was audio level control from the system. They wanted to keep their volume controls in each room. I did install a VCA capable amp, and can upgrade it at any time.
I have been installing them for about 6 years. Software is easy to use and feature loaded, especially being free! The only problem I have had is with the scrolling, and it is usually when I use the USB adapter for communication. If I use the RS232 to CLICK cable, I have fewer issues. Don't really know why, but it is what it is! Try one, you will not be disappointed!

We have one in a ampoule filling machine (Blow Fill Seal) that has been running since 2011. It has never missed a beat with timer based discrete I/O switching about 4 times a minute. Lots and lots and lots of on/off cycles.

Ill give my vote for being highly reliable. One bonus is the fact that documentation is stored CPU side so you don't need a copy computer side to see all the documentation and comments.

They 're a solid unit. Have come installed a dozen or so and come across maybe a dozen more. Heat and vibration, close proximity to VVVF drives, etc. don't seem to trouble them. Have seen one failure of a digital output and that's it - just unlucky I suspect.
