I'm trying to use a CLICK drum timer to replace an old motorized cam timer. Should be easy...that's what the DRUM was essentially made to do, right? One problem: In the real cam timer, when voltage is cut to the motor, the timer pauses where it is at, and when voltage is re-applied it continues to finish the step it was on with whatever time was remaining. The DRUM instruction works differently in CLICK. If I cut the ENABLE rung connection, the drum pauses as expected. However, when the ENABLE is restored, the CLICK doesn't finish the current step, it automatically jogs to the next step. Why include a jog if all you need to do is break and restore the ENABLE briefly to do it? Anybody know how to prevent the automatic stepping? **NEVERMIND** Mistakenly had ENABLE and JOG mapped to the same HMI key, so the DRUM would enable AND jog when enabled. Corrected the HMI and all works as expected.
