Can I use a spare PLC unit as an I/O module?

In the project I am working on, I have: 1 - C0-02DR-D PLC 7 - C0-08TR I/O Modules 1 - C0-01DR-D Unused PLC I need more outputs for my system, I know I have room for 1 more of the C0-08TR, but I have a PLC just sitting around which I would like to use. Is there any way of wiring these together to make it act as a I/O Module?

The only option is to talk to the other Click plc via the RS232 or RS485 ports, read the I/O into the C0-02DR-D and then use this in your programming logic.
I would recommend buying another C0-08TR.

Trying to expand I/O serially is a complete waste of time since you have room for another module unless you just want to play around with it.
