I am having trouble with a counter, I have written a simple program to control a heater with a series of timers and counters. Only problem is one of my counters will not count up. I have nothing that will reset it that is active however the other 2 counters work just fine. The counters work as such that when the button is pressed once the first counter counts up and heat is in a 20 minute cycle mode, when pressed twice the second counter resets the first and counts up and heat is in manual mode when pressed 3 times third counter resets the 2nd and sets program in to normal op mode.

First, welcome to the Forum. You have reached a site where you will find answers to your questions.

It would help a great deal if you could attach your program. To do this your first have to put your file into a ZIP format.

In Windows, navigate to the .ckp file. .ckp is the extension Click puts on a project file. When you find the file, right click on it. Then click Send To. Select Compressed (Zipped) Folder. This will create a compressed file. Come back to this forum and Post Reply. Scroll down until you see manage attachments. Click on this. Follow the instructions in the window that open up. After you submit the post we will be able to download the program and take a look at it. Also be sure to mention the type of Click you have and any additional input/output modules.

thankyou very much,, i did get it resolved though

I am kind of embarrased though, as what I did was I had a timer for a reset and I thought it was set for 20 minutes. Rather, I had it set for 20 ms.

And I scratched my head on that one for about 2 hours trying different things.:o

Careful, you'll end up bald like some of us. These things can be frustrating ... doing what we tell them to rather than what we want.
