Is there a link to the Click PLC programmer's manual? I can find manuals for the programming software , and manuals for that I guess what one would call the electro-mechanics of the PLCs themselves, not no actual programming maunal that explains all the functions and such in detail. Thanks.

It is all in the software help file. The only written manual for the Click is the Hardware manual.

Div_By_Zero - learning about 'how ' or 'why ' to program PLCs may take you beyond one specific PLC. To learn about programming controls in general you must be willing to be exposed to different names for inputs and outputs and almost everything else which exists in the specific PLC you wish to start with. You can use my site - ThePLCGuy.com as a starting point. But only after being exposed to many PLC types do you begin to appreciate the core of programming - using a device to achieve a purpose - and learning the 'tools ' of this particular type to achieve your goal. The multiple forums I suggest are great tools.
From Alexander Pope:
A little learning is a dangerous thing;
drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring:
there shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
and drinking largely sobers us again.
If you get intrigued you won't escape.
