BX-04THM Readings jumping to -0.1 when above 660 F

Can anyone help? I am using a BRX processor with a BX-04THM module on an industrial furnace. I have ungrounded thermocouples with shielded extension wire. Shields are landed at the thermocouple only. All four channels are used. When each channel goes above 660F, that channel starts jumping between the correct temperature and -0.1. I have bonded the 0VDC with ground. The processor is a 24VDC model. The thermocouple extension wire runs in its own conduit. The closest it gets to 480VAC is about 5 feet. Inside my panel I only have 120VAC and 24VDC. Any thoughts?

    So it doesn't do it until it is above 660?

    That is correct. Each channel will do it independently as it reaches about 660F. I am using type K with the card configured as type K.

    I also tried turning off the combustion blower, the only 480VAC device, as well as all field 120VAC to see if it was noise from a field device. It still acted the same.

    Might be best to get ADC tech involved.

    I switched the configuration from type K to mv and doing the scaling myself in logic. The readings are no longer jumping. The counts from the card are steady.

    According to the manufacturer, this was a problem modules with revision B1 firmware, it was correct in version B2. You can contact the RMA department at ADC for a replacement module with the updated revision.
