Hello, I am inexperienced in setting up custom ethernet communications and I was wondering if there are any guides or example programs for setting up Ethernet communication between a Do-more (BRX) and a Kollmorgen AKD servo drive? I'm setting up a new system and want to make sure I can figure this out before making any purchases. I 've read Kollmorgen's EthernetIP manual ( https://www.kollmorgen.com/en-us/pro...ves/servo/akd/ ) (around page 10) but the terminology looks quite a bit different than what I'm finding in the BRX manual. Thanks! Edit: And...I found some very helpful AD videos on Youtube very shortly after posting this that will probably answer all my questions.

Key point is that Do-more only supports Explicit Messaging at this time. Some devices require Implicit.

In Do-more Designer you can start the SIM (which is a virtual PLC running in a window on your PC), connect to it with Do-more Designer, and then the SIM will use your PC's Ethernet port as its own "built-in " Ethernet port. This means you can write and test your communication program totally for free (without purchasing any BRX hardware). In this manner, you can get it working to your liking.
